Ben lives with his family in a cozy house in the woods. His dad is a real enthusiastic guy, but so clumsy he loses his job as a forest ranger. One day Ben and his dad go to a magic show featuring the fabulous illusionist Hans Smid. From that moment on, Ben knows what he wants to do: be a magician. Ben and his dad perfect their own magic act with the assistance of Sylvie, a new girl in school. Ben's dad builds a special magic cabinet for Sylvie to disappear out of. Stikker and Son magicians are a big success! But when Sylvie vanishes for good, everyone thinks Ben's dad is responsible for her disappearance. The media are making a circus out of the story, and Sylvie's rich parents are out for blood. Ben must find out the truth behind the illusion and save Sylvie, his dad, and his family.
